Thu May 24 Short Sands small and fun

Another week, another Short Sands trip- and yet again, small and fun. The sky was blue, the winds were light, and the other surfers were friendly and ripping.

Unfortunately, I was not. We just wrapped up a quick trip down to CA to see grandpa, and taking a nine month old on an airline flight, in coach, is just not fun. Our daughter is a total trooper, but she just had enough after 30 minutes or so in the air not to mention all the changes in routine/ sleeping spaces/ naptimes/ etc.

As a result of trip-tiredness, I was dragging in the water. Totally kooking on the paddling, missing drops repeatedly, gas running out after twenty minutes.

But it was still great to be in the water! We're all glad to be back home-
